3 Easy Minimal Outfits Under $100

Updated: Sep 6, 2019

I never thought I'd say this, but I tried the minimal trend and never want to go back! Minimalism, is the concept of keeping an outfit very practical, monochromatic, timeless, and sleek. In other words it means you're having a major Hepburn or Diane Keaton moment.

I've fully embraced this concept with my closet and have 3 minimal inspired outfits to share with you today that you can wear to work, on an everyday basis, and to a night out on the town.

1. To Work

Nothing screams polished more than a crisp white top. I am rocking a half tuck in this old shirt of my hubby's here along with a leather pencil skirt, matching pointy white flats, a gray animal print handbag, and some fun gold accessories to add good contrast to the outfit. The perfect matchy-minimal office look with a side of sass if you ask me.

P.S. I normally wouldn't wear hoops this big for work but they looked good for this shoot.

Shirt: Rue21 , $20 (old) | Skirt: Thrift Giant, $3 | Sunglasses: Forever21, $10 | Earrings: Target, $8 | Necklace: Forever21, $5 | Handbag: Goodwill, $2 | Flats: ASOS, $30

2. To a Night Out

The easiest, most comfortable, and most stylish thing you can ever wear is a utility suit! I found this really cool beige suit and it is easily dressed up with heels, some subtle earrings, and a statement handbag. This look is perfect for getting drinks with your favorite people in style and with minimal effort.

Utility Suit: H&M, $20 | Earrings: H&M, $12 | Shoes: DSW, $30 | Handbag: Non-Brand, Gifted

3. To a Casual Day Out

It doesn't get any simpler or minimal than jeans and a top. I usually go for a black on black moment like this look when I don't want to do too much with clothing and am just out running daily errands. What's really cool about a monochromatic outfit is that it always looks well put together. I polished off this easy casual-meets vintage-number with white flats, a western belt, my favorite black sunnies, classic gold hoop earrings, and my snake print handbag.

Top: Goodwill, $5 | Belt: Target, $16 | Jeans: Nordstrom, $30
