What She Taught Me About Style: Tracee Ellis Ross
Do you know who Tracee Ellis Ross is? No? Well she's only my latest fashion muse, a fabulous actress (Blackish, Girlfriends), the daughter of the legendary Diana Ross, who's style is as iconic as she is! So iconic that she's who inspired today's, "What She Taught Me About Style" post.
Tracee is just a fun-loving type of girl. Her larger than life personality really show in her style through her love of intriguing patterns, eccentric color choices, unexpected accessories, and her naturally glorious Diana Ross-esque hair just makes all of it so darn glamorous.
In this first outfit I really wanted to show off this cool vintage dress in an edgy way that would make Tracee proud. I did this by adding in my beloved bright red bodysuit, a trendy coin necklace set, a pair of pearl studded hoop earrings, a red crossbody to bring out the red in the pattern of the dress and my bodysuit, then lastly a pair of metallic flatforms to complete this Tracee street chic moment.
I love the little hints of glamour in her street chic looks. I hope you can see some of that in this outfit too!

Another thing I love about Tracee's style are her sporty-glam outfits.
In honor of her sporty glam, I kept it simple for my second look. I took my favorite jeggings and added a matchy cropped jacket. I kept the same bodysuit on for some extra flair and the same accessories from the previous outfit but replaced the flatforms with nude sneakers.
I felt like as simple as this outfit is it still carries the "cool girl" spirit of Tracee.

Last but not least, Tracee is the queen of resort style. She's a girl who knows how work but really knows how to chill (and looks good doing it).
This festive skirt and basket handbag practically screamed at me when putting this look together.
I kept the same elements from my previous outfits (sneakers, bodysuit, gold jewelry) but made this look my "Tracee on vacay" oufit.
To wrap up, I feel honored to have talented, stylish, beautiful women of color like Tracee to admire. Thanks to her, me and other chicks like me can feel good in their own skin and take on the world in our stylish flatforms!
